All Education students must meet the following Division of Education academic standard:
- Admission to the Teacher Education Program requires a minimum GPA of 3.0 over all with no less than 2.75 Content GPA and Professional Education GPA and ACT of 19 or higher.
or
- GPA 2.75 (Cumulative, Content, and Professional Education) with ACT of 24 or higher
Exceptions may petition the Division Chair who will report to the PEB any exceptions or conditions.
Admissions in the Teacher Education (TEP) is required for all Education 300-400 level methods courses, 300/400 ELED methods courses, and 300/400 level MUSC methods courses. Written notification of the TEP application results will be distributed from the Chair of the Division of Education to all applicants and their academic advisor/success coach.
